Privacy policy

Red Martian Cat Care ("we", "us") is a product of Red Martian Studio, based in Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
What we collect
Waitlist. When you join the waitlist we collect your email address and, if you choose to share them, your cat's name and which description fits your cat (kitten, senior, kidney disease or other). We also record where you heard about us if the link you used says so.
Your account (once the app launches). Your name and email, and your sign-in method (for example Google or an email link).
Your cats' records. Everything you enter about your cats, such as profiles, photos, weights, check-ins, medications, vet visits, lab results and uploaded documents.
Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive your plan, payment status and billing country.
Basic technical data. Such as browser type, device type and error logs, used to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
- To run the app and show your records to you and to anyone you choose to share them with
- To send emails you need: sign-in links, receipts, trial and account notices, and reminders you turn on
- To send launch news and cat care tips to waitlist members (unsubscribe anytime)
- To fix problems, prevent fraud and improve the product
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your cats' records for advertising.
Who helps us run the service
We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments), and our email providers. Some of these providers store data in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Canada.
Your choices and rights
- Export your cats' records at any time from the app
- Delete your account and data at any time, or ask us to do it
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email

How long we keep data
We keep your records while your account is active. If a trial ends without a subscription, records are kept for 30 days so you can come back, then deleted. Waitlist emails are kept until launch plus 12 months, or until you unsubscribe.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted so each account can only see its own cats. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you.
Children
The service is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and let account holders know by email.
