Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Red Martian Studio ("we", "us"), based in Alberta, Canada, for your use of Red Martian Cat Care (the "service"). By using the service you agree to them.
1. Not veterinary advice
Red Martian Cat Care is a record-keeping and organizing tool. It does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not interpret lab results. Charts, summaries, reminders and suggestions (such as a suggested fluid site) are organizational aids only. Always follow your veterinarian's guidance, and contact a veterinarian or emergency clinic right away if you are worried about your cat.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. If you share a cat's record with someone else, they can see and add to that record.
3. Free trial, subscriptions and payments
- New accounts get a 14-day free trial. No card is required to start.
- Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- The Founding Crew pass is a one-time payment for access to the Mission Control plan for as long as the service operates.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in US dollars and may include or exclude applicable taxes depending on where you live.
- If you're unhappy within 14 days of your first payment, email us and we'll refund it.
- We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice. Founding Crew passes are not affected by price changes.
4. Your content
Your cats' records belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you. You can export or delete them at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to access other people's data, disrupt the service, upload unlawful content, or resell access.
6. Availability
We work to keep the service available and your data backed up, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Please keep your own copy of anything critical, for example by exporting your records.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for decisions about your cat's care made using information in the service.
8. Ending the service
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give at least 60 days' notice so you can export your records.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
